Jason E. Weigand (born February 7, 1968) is a former US Army Veteran and 3X NCAA All American collegiate wrestler who wrestled for The University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. Weigand has been inducted into the West Holmes High School Hall of Fame, The Holmes County Hall of Fame and the University of Mount Union Hall of Fame.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Mount Union )〕 He is the all-time leader in a couple major statistical categories for wrestling at Mount Union, including, most career pins, most pins in a season and the fastest pin. He was all conference all three years he wrestled at Mount Union winning the Conference Championship each year. He also was a two time team captain of the Mount Union Purple Raiders. Weigand became the first 3 time NCAA All American in Mount Union history. ==Early years==
Weigand was born in Millersburg, Ohio and grew up in the rural area as the son of a farmer. Weigand believes that his work ethic started at an early age where he would work on the farm. Weigand decided to wrestler due to his encouragement from his cousin Russell Lint. Weigand attended West Holmes High school where he struggled in his first couple years on the mat, but due to a coach who took interest in him, Coach Lindy Rogers, Weigand became a formidable opponent on the mat. Weigand's senior year he finished after the Ohio State Wrestling Tournament with a combined record of 26-3.
